Exmoor Photography Course Tuesday 18th June

Another successful photography course today 18th June 2013. It was a pleasure to have Lynda, Rae and Wes on the course,  who were all good fun and keen to learn!  After the meet & greet we headed up past Pool farm and Nutscale and straight away found some very playful Exmoor Pony foals and a slightly older pony who decided to start pulling faces at us, something had definitely got up his nose and it made for some amusing photographs. Perhaps he was having a good laugh because we were trying to take photographs in the mist! This, to my relief burned off within half an hour. We all went from jackets to t-shirts during this time.  The light for the rest of the day was perfect.  Watersmeet is looking very lush and green at the moment. We watched the Dippers flying up and down the river by the wooden footbridge, with food parcels for their young.  The river is looking very picturesque at the moment and offered many photographic opportunities.

Next was ‘lovely’ Lanacre Bridge, which is looking as tranquil as ever and always seems to have a ‘big sky’ to my mind. We then dropped down to the stunning villages of Withypool, Winsford and finally Dunster village and Deer Park. My thanks to Ann at the Luttrell Arms Hotel for being so friendly and allowing us to practice macro (close up) photography on the flowers in their beautiful gardens.
