New Website, latest news & Facebook.

I am currently building a completely new website having at last found some software that does everything I want it too!! I have also started a Facebook business page for Exmoor Phototgraphy.
I will post links to both when they go live, the old website is still up and running as normal in the mean time.
January has been a busy month this year, I have been photographing Exmoor’s Red deer, I watched a 30+ stag herd on Sunday. I haven’t seen this many together for years. It was great to see and they were very close to the road so I didn’t have to walk far. I am really suffering with my back and ankle at the moment, I don’t think all the cold weather has helped.
The ‘farm’ hide has been very productive, I am concentrating on birds in flight at the moment, so far I have Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay’s, Long-tailed Tits and Great Tits amongst other things.
I have also been to Slimbridge WWT this month. I haven’t been for years during the winter. I wanted to see and photograph the Whooper and Bewick Swans, I wasn’t disappointed, the weather was fantastic, we had a rare sunny day, the light was perfect. I got all the shots I wanted of the swans, including some lovely flight shots in the afternoon sun.
I also arranged for Katie to meet the education officer Sue at WWT. We had a brilliant meeting with her, it was very interesting and informative.
I have also just been given permission to put a hide on some land to try and photograph Brown Hares, I can’t wait to have a go. I get asked a lot for Hare photographs, so fingers crossed!!
I will post all the latest images here and on the website as soon as I have the chance to edit and catalogue them!!!
